Workshop Overview

This workshop, organized by the Semantic Web Lab (SWLab) in collaboration with the Kurdish Language Department, College of Humanities at the University of Zakho, explores advancements in Kurdish Natural Language Processing (KNLP), Semantic Web technologies, and ontology extraction for the Badini dialect. Attendees will gain insights into:
- The challenges of Kurdish language processing in digital environments.
- The development of the UOZBDN annotated corpus for the Badini dialect.
- Part-of-Speech (POS) tagging using hybrid methods (Hidden Markov Model + Rule-Based).
- Ontology extraction techniques for semantic annotation.
- Real-world applications in intelligent search, machine translation, and knowledge representation.
This session is ideal for linguists, computer scientists, researchers, and digital content developers working on Kurdish language technologies.
